Our aim
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we review the site as it changes.
How the site is built
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip straight to the content.
- Headings, lists, tabs and dialogs use standard markup, so screen readers can announce and navigate them.
- Text and controls are sized and coloured for comfortable contrast.
- Clinical photographs and course pictures have text descriptions.
- The animated 3D scenes are decorative. Everything they show is also written out in the page text, and they pause when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages adapt to phones, tablets and large screens, and to text zoom.
The accessibility menu
The round blue button at the bottom left of every page opens a menu with nine settings: bigger text, high contrast, inverted colors, grayscale, a readable font, highlighted links, paused motion, a big cursor and a reading guide. Your choices are saved in your own browser (local storage) on that device only, so they apply again on your next visit. They are not sent to us.
